An excursion consent form is required upon enrolment at The Pod. The Pod holiday programme will at times have trips and activities planned that will occur from the main site 23 Wood Street, Greytown. All other trips will require further permission.
All information contained herein is confidential and in accordance to the Privacy Act 2020, will only be strictly used by The Pod staff to effectively care for your child, and will not be used or distributed for any other purpose. Representatives from Oranga Tamariki may view this information as part of The Pod programme assessment. All client files, both current and closed are stored securely. I acknowledge that images of my child or items of my childs work completed at The Pod may be used for training, marketing and/or promotional purposes. I give my consent and no further permission will be required.
If a minor accident occurs, I give permission for The Pod staff to treat my child with category one medicine – this includes and is limited to arnica, insect repellent and combudoron. I understand that The Pod staff will record each administration of medication and acknowledge that the utmost care will be taken and will not hold The Pod staff responsible. In the case of an emergency, I acknowledge an ambulance will be called first and then I will be notified.
The Pod operates a Facebook business page and is used as a platform for parent engagement, community notices and holiday programme announcements and updates. This includes posting photos of children engaging in activities, group photos of children, Pod environment and relevant service images. The Pod’s Facebook page is managed by management only and with advice from an approved marketing advisor. The Pod also partakes in a number of marketing and promotional activities and events within the wider community i.e. editorial features for magazines, that requires images/photos of The Pod children engaging in activities to be used.
I agree for images of my child, video links including my child and references of my child’s work to be used on the social media platform, Facebook, or for advertising and marketing purposes.
If you do not agree for images of your child to be used for the above purposes please email us directly email@example.com to ensure this is recorded on your child’s enrolment details.
Every child enrolled at The Pod will be supported, cared for, and kept safe from manageable harm and risks. Upon enrolment, our staff require information relating to a child’s behaviour, health needs, dietary requirements, dispositions, and family/home context – information that may influence our ability to care for the child, and keep them and others safe, while they attend The Pod. This information is obtained on the enrolment form or discussed in person to Pod staff before the child starts attending The Pod. The parent/caregiver holds responsibility to ensuring relevant information is passed on to Pod staff.
The Pod has clear rules and behaviour expectations that are reinforced by our team across all our services, to ensure all children are cared for and kept safe from harm. Following our Behaviour Management policy and procedures, should the behaviour or conduct of a child become unmanageable, The Pod reserves the right to ring parents to have the child collected from The Pod. Should this occur, a behaviour management plan must be put in place before the child returns.
