Communication
The Pod operates a Facebook business page and is used as a platform for parent engagement, community notices and holiday programme announcements and updates. This includes posting photos of children engaging in activities, group photos of children, Pod environment and relevant service images. The Pod’s Facebook page is managed by management only and with advice from an approved marketing advisor. The Pod also partakes in a number of marketing and promotional activities and events within the wider community i.e. editorial features for magazines, that requires images/photos of The Pod children engaging in activities to be used.
I agree for images of my child, video links including my child and references of my child’s work to be used on the social media platform, Facebook, or for advertising and marketing purposes.
If you do not agree for images of your child to be used for the above purposes please email us directly info@thepod.co.nz to ensure this is recorded on your child’s enrolment details.
Behaviour management
Every child enrolled at The Pod will be supported, cared for, and kept safe from manageable harm and risks. Upon enrolment, our staff require information relating to a child’s behaviour, health needs, dietary requirements, dispositions, and family/home context – information that may influence our ability to care for the child, and keep them and others safe, while they attend The Pod. This information is obtained on the enrolment form or discussed in person to Pod staff before the child starts attending The Pod. The parent/caregiver holds responsibility to ensuring relevant information is passed on to Pod staff.
The Pod has clear rules and behaviour expectations that are reinforced by our team across all our services, to ensure all children are cared for and kept safe from harm. Following our Behaviour Management policy and procedures, should the behaviour or conduct of a child become unmanageable, The Pod reserves the right to ring parents to have the child collected from The Pod. Should this occur, a behaviour management plan must be put in place before the child returns.
